Lofotseminaret in Applied Geophysics is a biannual national symposium in geophysics that has been organized since 1993 at various locations around Lofoten in Norway.
The purpose of the seminar is to gather universities, research institutions and industry in Norway in order to present ongoing research in geophysics. It serves as a meeting place for PhD candidates, postdocs, university professors and industry professionals to discuss and review important issues to be solved for bringing this research field forward. Lofotseminaret is organized by all the universities in Norway involved in research and education in geoscience: UiB, UiO, NTNU, UiS, and UiT.
The next seminar is planned for early September 2027. We plan to open for abstract submissions in early 2027. Registration deadline will be 1st August 2027.
